Beds, mattresses and bedroom furniture
And So To Bed has been selling beds since 1976 and reaches its fiftieth year in 2026, with a range built around handmade bed frames, mattresses and bedroom furniture alongside brands such as Tempur, Vispring and Aireloom. It is a showroom led retailer with 20 locations across London, the South East, the South West, Central England, the North, Scotland and Northern Ireland, so trying a mattress before buying is realistic for most of the country.
Ways to save
A Price Match Guarantee sits behind the range, which is the useful one on branded mattresses where the same model turns up at more than one retailer. Finance is available with a calculator on the site, spreading a bed across monthly payments instead of a single outlay. The newsletter carries upcoming discounts, exclusive sales and product launches, and it is the usual early warning for seasonal reductions on the Vispring and Tempur lines. A voucher code from the list above goes in at checkout.
Before you order a bed
Measure the doorway, the stairwell and any turns before choosing a frame, because a divan base splits into sections but a solid handmade frame often does not. Settle on firmness in a showroom rather than from a description, since the same word means different things across Tempur, Vispring and Aireloom. Check the lead time on each product too, as made to order frames and mattresses are built after the order rather than picked off a shelf. For the rest of the room, Garden Trading and Furniture Life cover lighting and furniture.
