What Coffee Friend is
Coffee Friend is an omnichannel coffee retailer that trades across Europe under different local names, with coffeefriend.co.uk as the British storefront. The range runs from bean to cup machines and manual espresso setups through to beans, capsules, descalers and cleaning products, plus own label lines including Chiato kitchen appliances and the Caprisette and Parallel coffee ranges. Refurbished machines sit alongside new ones, which is where the sharpest prices usually hide.
Ways to spend less on coffee kit
Delivery is free once an order clears £35, and £3.95 below that, so a bag of beans added to a smaller order is often cheaper than paying the postage. Machine care products go on deep reduction regularly, up to 40 percent off, and stocking descaler and cleaning tablets during one of those runs costs less than replacing a scaled up machine later. A coffee subscription is available if you would rather have beans arrive on a schedule than reorder every few weeks.
Warranty and returns worth knowing
Coffee machines carry a two year manufacturer warranty, and refurbished domestic machines get two years as well, starting from purchase with no registration step. Returns run to fourteen calendar days from delivery, though an unused return is charged £6.90 unless the item arrived faulty, in which case it costs nothing. Support is on 01202 029 699 or by email, weekdays 8am to 5pm. For beans on their own, Coffee Bean Shop and illy are the natural places to compare.
FAQ
When is delivery free at Coffee Friend?
UK delivery is free on orders above £35. Below that a £3.95 charge applies, so it is often worth adding beans rather than paying the postage.
What warranty do Coffee Friend machines come with?
Coffee machines carry a two year manufacturer warranty, and refurbished domestic machines are also covered for two years. Cover starts when you buy, with no registration needed.
Can I return a coffee machine to Coffee Friend?
You have fourteen calendar days from delivery to return an item that meets the return conditions. An unused return is charged £6.90, but returns are free if the product arrived defective.
Are refurbished machines worth buying?
They come with the same two year domestic warranty as new machines, which removes most of the risk, and they are usually the cheapest way into a bean to cup setup. Stock moves quickly because each unit is a one off.
Does Coffee Friend sell its own brands?
Yes. Alongside the major machine makers it sells Chiato kitchen appliances and the Caprisette and Parallel coffee lines, which regularly appear in reductions of up to 50 percent.
