Pet food from a North Yorkshire airfield
You can cut the cost of Harringtons dog and cat food with a subscription, a promo code or Pet Club points. The brand is based at Dalton Airfield near Thirsk and sells straight from its own site. The range covers dry food, wet food and dog treats. There are recipes for puppies, small and large breeds, seniors and grain-free diets. A limited ingredient line called Just 6 suits fussier stomachs. Harringtons calls itself the first major UK pet food business to be carbon negative.
Subscriptions and points that add up
Subscription orders cost at least 15% less than the RRP. You pick a delivery gap anywhere from two to twelve weeks. Pausing, skipping or cancelling is done online, with no minimum term.
Pet Club pays 5 points for every £1 you spend. Each 500 points turns into £5 off, so regular buyers effectively get 5% back. Opening an account adds 250 points straight away. Referring a friend is worth 1,000 points. Any voucher code you hold goes in the discount field at checkout.
Delivery thresholds
Orders over £40 travel free by DPD to mainland Great Britain. Smaller baskets cost £4.99. Order by 7pm on a weekday, or 2pm at the weekend, for next-day delivery. Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are not covered.
To compare prices across brands, Zooplus stocks a wide range. Pooch and Mutt is another British dog food brand worth a look.
