Apply the discount code (step by step)
- Head to lakeland.co.uk and fill your basket, the electricals and the storage ranges are the two areas where codes tend to bite hardest.
- Open the basket and look for the promotional code box, it sits in the order summary just above the total. Have a look at the image below if you cannot spot it.
- Paste the code in and apply it, then check the total has moved.
- Check whether your order has reached £50, that is the point where standard delivery stops being charged.
- Sign in or join myLakeland before you pay so the order counts towards any member vouchers.
- Place the order and keep the confirmation, you will need it if you ever claim on the three year guarantee. All done!

Saving at Lakeland usually comes down to two things, a code applied at the basket and the £50 threshold that switches standard delivery to free, so it pays to group a kettle, a set of storage boxes and the laundry bits into one order rather than three. The chain started in 1964 in Windermere, Cumbria, where Alan Rayner sold polythene packaging to local farmers, and it has grown into roughly 58 stores from Aberdeen down to Exeter while keeping the head office in the Lake District.
What Lakeland actually stocks
The range sits somewhere between a kitchen shop and a problem solving catalogue: knives, pans, roasting tins, bakeware and tableware alongside storage solutions, cleaning and laundry products, and small electricals such as bread makers, coffee machines, ice cream makers and clothes steamers. A fair chunk of the assortment is own brand, which is why the retailer can price things like bread makers well below the big name equivalents.
Ways to save at Lakeland
Every product carries a three year guarantee, which is longer than the statutory position and worth factoring in when you compare a Lakeland electrical against a cheaper one elsewhere. Membership of myLakeland is free and unlocks app exclusive vouchers that do not appear on the public site, so it is worth joining before a big kitchen order. Standard delivery becomes free from £50, and the permanent clearance area regularly cuts selected electricals and airers by up to half.
If your basket is really about knives rather than gadgets, it is worth checking prices at Kitchen Knives too, and coffee drinkers stocking up on beans can compare against The Coffee Bean Shop.
FAQ
When was Lakeland founded?
Lakeland began in 1964 in Windermere, Cumbria, where Alan Rayner started out selling polythene packaging to local farmers. The business is still headquartered in the Lake District, which is where the name comes from.
How many Lakeland stores are there?
There are around 58 stores across the UK, stretching from Aberdeen in the north to Exeter in the south west. The store finder on the website lists opening hours for each one.
How much is delivery at Lakeland?
Standard delivery is free on orders from £50. Below that a delivery charge applies, which is shown in the basket before you pay.
What does the Lakeland guarantee cover?
Every product sold carries a three year guarantee. That is longer than most homeware retailers offer and applies across the range rather than to selected lines.
What is myLakeland?
It is the retailer's free membership scheme. Members get access to app exclusive vouchers and offers that are not published on the open site, so it is worth signing up before placing a larger order.
What does Lakeland sell?
The range covers cookware, bakeware, knives, tableware, storage, cleaning and laundry products, and small electricals including bread makers, coffee machines, ice cream makers, irons and clothes steamers.
Does Lakeland have a permanent sale section?
Yes, there is a running clearance area where selected electricals, rotary airers and seasonal lines are reduced, often by up to 50 percent. Stock there changes regularly rather than following a fixed sale calendar.
Why has my code not worked?
Most Lakeland codes exclude items already reduced in the clearance area, which is the usual reason a code is rejected. Only one code can be applied per order, so compare which one leaves you with the lower total.
